Once there lived three fairies named My Perception, Your Perception and Our Perception. They bore the same family name, signifying the same tasks they are expected to perform, none other than giving their perceptions regarding human behavior. Everyday they visit different places where humans dwell, observing the way they deal with things and interact with one another. Data gathered are then reported to the Sociology Fairy. Being the eldest, My Perception always starts the sharing of thoughts. In most instances, hers are always regarded as full of wisdom, which in turn boosted her self-esteem. Sadly though, every time Your Perception unleash her point of view, My Perception often interrupts, insisting that she (Your Perception) should have seen, heard and perceived things the way she did. As such, Your Perception can’t penetrate the discussion for long and eventually just leave everything to My Perception. Owing to the fact that most of the times only one side of each issue is addressed, Our Perception couldn’t even start her part. Hence, majority of the output comes from My Perception, with only a bit from Your Perception and absolutely none from Our Perception.
A simple short story of mine with a simple message: If we are full of “my” “me” and “I” there would never be a place for “you” and “your”, all the more of “our”. |

“Give man a fish and he’ll eat for a day, teach man to fish and he’ll eat for a lifetime”. When I first entered the library of the university where I studied college, a picturesque poster with this quote written caught my attention. It made me realize that indeed, education is an investment and its impact on ones life is perennial. So to speak, it must be something of very good quality, capable of withstanding life’s myriad upheavals and adversities.

Staring at the starry sky at night Wishing you’re staring the same way I do Thoughts like that seem to keep things right Bridging the distance from me to you

Isn’t it wonderful to look into your own reflection in the mirror and love everything that you see? Such a blissful feeling it can give especially to those who feel like they are devoid of appreciation. But what if the person you see…who is the epitome goodness…isn’t even you? As the line from a famous song goes “who is that girl I see, staring straight back at me?”
